We are still here

Don't give up on our blog, I promise at some point I will have a catch up post. Our laptop has been broken for what seems like forever now. The past two weeks Kevin was a way for training and I do not do well alone. I should probably see a therapist, I honestly check every lock in the house at least two or three times at night before I go to bed and even then the slightest little creak makes me terrified. I vented about this irrational fear to one of my best friends a little while back (she is around 30 all my friends are much older than I am) and she said she was the same way at my age and I will eventually get used to it and just grow out of it. I believed her until I talked to Charlene (my boss) about it and she said she does/feels the exact same way I do when her husband is gone. Aahhh will I never be able to be alone when its dark outside?! As most of you know my poor little baby Silas has not been doing well, he has had constant diarrhea ever since he had his surgeries and the day before K left for training Silas ate his hot wings. As you know dogs and chicken bones do not mix so he had to go the vet for x-rays. The chicken bones passed without doing much damage just some irritation to is g.i. track. Even though the bones passed we have been at the vet's office at least 3 or 4 times a week for the past 2 weeks. We have been working with one vet, Dr. E, and she has been great! Extremely patient and understanding of how frustrating his problems are. As of right now the vets (yes all the vets there are in agreement) think that his problems are being caused by irritable/inflamed bowel disease. This means it will be a lifelong issue for him and he will need to be on a strict diet, so I am very sorry to say that for those of you who like to feed him and give him treats you will no longer be able to do so. Dr E has been busy working at a conference out of state for the past few days so I have a phone meeting set up with her once she gets back on Thursday to discuss what move we need to take now to make sure the diagnosis is as close to 100% as it can be without doing surgery and biopsies and to also discuss how we can keep this issue in check. I also would like to add how great everyone there has been. The doctors have been so nice and give us free office visits or discounts since we have been in there so much and they know just how much all those bills can add up to. The pet store even let me return an almost completely eaten bag of food for a full refund! Silas seems to being doing well this week so hopefully we can keep him healthy and doing well.

Still broken

We haven't gotten lost or fallen off of the earth, the laptop is still broken. :(
