Save the dates!

On Monday night I ordered the save the date cards!! Back in December Brent took a few very quick pictures of us all dressed up before we went to Kevin's mom's wedding. We seriously could not find the time to take engagement pictures and Kevin's work schedule (and lack of interest in doing them) made it very difficult to find a time so since we were already dressed up we honestly spent maybe 10 minutes at the most smiling for the camera and Brent did his magic and made us look good. I haven't posted or used any of the pictures here on the blog or on facebook because I want the first time everyone sees the pictures is to be when you open your save the date card, in fact I'm not even going to give you a sneak peek. I had thought about posting one of the photos I didn't use but you'll just have to wait. The ups tracking says they should be delivered on Tuesday so I am hoping to have them mailed out no later than one week after I receive them but Kevin has a lot of addresses to collect and the weather people say we are supposed to get a big snow storm tonight so we'll see how it goes. The other day the accent flowers were delivered so now I can cross those off my list. Why were fake flowers delivered to my house when I am paying a florist for real ones? I watched the movie Melancholia and fell in love with the bouquet Kirsten Dunst had in the movie (if you have never seen this movie I suggest you watch it).  It was a big bouquet of nothing but lily of the valley, this was what I pictured carrying down the aisle. Turns out lily of the valley is a pretty pricey flower and even more expensive when out of season and it is way out of season in November. I decided to use silk lily of the valley as an accent flower in my bouquet and in the boutonnieres because over $7 a flower is ridiculous and as a sane person I couldn't spend that amount on flowers. What else is new? I am now an official member of the yoga studio instead of a trial member. Since we get up so early we go to bed pretty early. By the time I get home from yoga Kevin is either already in bed or getting ready for bed so when I get in bed I turn on the tv and usually watch a show or a documentary on Netflix but recently I have found a new interest in film noir. Netflix has few I have found that I liked and if I don't have a show that night and I'm not feeling like a documentary I'll watch one, well part of one because I usually fall asleep.
