The wedding dress I ordered finally arrived and it is a disaster. It is horrible. I have filed a complaint and am working on getting my money back. I had a minor freak out and took Amy with me to try on dresses all day last Saturday but didn't find one I loved. I went back to one of the stores yesterday and tried on even more dresses. I did find one and bought it!!! I even got a huge discount on it!!
Last year when my sister Melanie was planning her wedding I kept telling her to ask for a discount and she would say "Nichole you can't just ask for a discount."
Well Melanie you are wrong because I ask for a discount every where. When the lady was ringing up my dress I said "Would it be possible to get any sort of discount? I am trying to keep my wedding budget as under control as possible." And do you know what happened? She gave me a pretty good discount. So then pushing my luck I said "Kevin is in the military do you think it might be possible to get a military discount as well?" And then kaboom she gave me another discount. Just by politely asking for a couple of discounts I was able to get the store to come down almost $500 off the final price.
