My boyfriend is better than your boyfriend
because he makes me delicious meals! I am not a very good cook. I can bake so if you want dessert I'm the girl to call but if you want dinner you seriously should not ask me. I try and try and it just never turns out, but Kevin on the other hand can just throw things in a pot and it turns out great. It is completely unfair. My goal is to become more domesticated, but so far I am failing. I am going to try to cook one meal each week that way in case it does not turn out we are only ordering pizza one night a week.
One night this week we had grilled zucchini and tomato. Kevin had a burger with his, I however opted for no burger. (Before Kevin and I started dating I went about 8 or 9 years without any meat and Kevin ate a lot of red meat. Since we have been together I eat more chicken and fish and Kevin eats way less red meat. Who was better for who?
I absolutely love lobster! Neither Kevin nor I had ever cooked lobster before. We found semi cooked, frozen lobsters at the grocery store and Kevin bought one for us to try out. It was pretty good. Not as good as fresh or what you would get at a restaurant but still pretty good. I had a hard time getting the meat out of the shell so Kevin had to help me out.

Park!
Yesterday both Kevin and I were home all day. We started our morning off by burning some of the tree and picking stuff out of the garden. Then we did a bunch of nothing, basically watching some tv. Then we went to lunch/dinner. We went to ziffles and it was pretty good. While we were there I kept trying to convince Kevin that we should foster a dog. Kevin won't give me a complete yes, so I'll just have to keep working on him. After we finished our lunch/dinner we went to the Fort Wayne Parks administration office and got Silas registered to use the dog park. We went to the dog park around 6 pm and it wasn't very busy maybe 10 dogs total. There was one dog that should not have been there, while I don't know everything about dogs I do know what aggressive behavior and body langue look like and if you needed an example it was this dog. Kevin and I weren't the only people worried about this dog everyone else would immediately move to their dog or just completely stop playing and go to a different spot so they wouldn't be by this dog. The dog's owner kept saying it was just playing and wasn't being aggressive but no one was buying it so they ended up leaving, thankfully. Other than that one dog there were absolutely no problems during the hour or so we were there. After that I took Silas over to have a play date with Sullivan. We were there until around 11 pm and Silas has not moved all day today. The poor guy is exhausted!

Every dog must be wearing this tag to be able to attend the park. |
Tiiiiiiiimmmber!
Kevin has been talking about cutting down one of the trees in the backyard for a long time. On Thursday as I was leaving for work Kevin said he was going to finally do it. When I came home half the tree was down. Kevin started around 2 and I got home around 5:00. He said it would have been completely done but there was a ton of power lines, fences and our garden the he was trying not demolish. It is so weird looking outside and not seeing a giant pine tree.
My fingers will never be the same
My fingers are pretty much stained purple. On Wednesday I went back to the blueberry patch for another 15 pounds of berries. I got there around 8:30 and was finished picking by 11. This time you could pick anywhere in the patch and when I checked in the lady told me the best ones were in the front rows and very back rows. For some reason everyone there was picking in one area so I ventured to the very back. They don't seem to do as much upkeep back there. There were thistles taller than me and the grass was just under my knees and the branches were all over grown into the paths. Yeah, I was basically picking in a blueberry jungle. (On Thursday Aubrey was giving me a makeover when she found something in my hair. A tick. never picking in the back again) When I was checking out I talked with the ladies running the check out about some things they had on their website but I didn't see anywhere around the patch. I really wanted a bottle of raw honey. They said they only sell that at the winery, so off to the winery I went. (it was on my way home anyway) The winery was very nice and since I was there I figured I would buy a bottle. I asked the lady there which of the sweet wines were popular and she gave me a free wine tasting. Score! I ended up tasting 7 wines, buying one bottle of white, and one bottle of honey. Then I went home and made more jam.
