So for those of you who don't know a couple of weeks ago Silas had what the vets thought was a staph infection. They gave him two weeks of antibiotics and it seemed to clear it up. Fast forward barely a week and its back. Today they took a scrapping of it to see if it was some kind of mite or bug and it came back negative so they gave him another prescription for two weeks of antibiotics and then a two week refill in case it doesn't completely go away. If that doesn't work then Silas and I will meet with both of the vets who have been working with him (our vets office has four vets, we have seen three of them one of which Silas hates and will not go near, we have been working with Dr. Eisenhaur and Dr. Patrick.) to discuss what to do, because she said even though he is too young to have allergies some allergies in dogs present themselves like this. I am praying the antibiotics work because if its a food allergy like they think I don't know what we will do because this is the only food he can eat. The vet staff there have been amazing and absolutely love Silas. He is seriously the most well known dog there!
Silas also got a package in the mail today. The only treats I have found that don't cause any issues at all with his tummy are from a company called Bocces Bakery. All their treats are as organic as possible, completely wheat free, mostly grain free, and have very few ingredients. The only problem is that they are based in New York and you can't buy them here so I have to order them online. If you are thinking you would like to buy him a birthday or Christmas present these treats are a great idea.

He loves the green juice ones and I bought him the PB&J one to try. |
